Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th in 1961) is an American actress. Since the late 80s Angela Evelyn has appeared on film and television. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt who lived in New York New York. Bassett's mother had split from her father at approximately five. She and her younger sister went from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. When she was in high school Bassett was a spectator of John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she would like to be an actor. After graduating at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned the Bachelor's degree of African American Studies, she was able to obtain an MA (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale and, in 1997 they got married. Qualification: B.A. graduated from the Yale School of Drama School with a Master's Degree on African American studies, in the year 1980. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the principal parts in the action film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
